About me

My goal is to spread spirit of music & drumming to my community. As a child I struggled in school for having dyslexia but found drumming/music to be my forte. I new at 11 years old that I wanted to be drummer and pursue music for the rest of my life.
I am a music teacher (18 years) from grade 1 - 8/secondary/post secondary and a proud father of a son named nathan, an Author - "Spirit of World Drumming" Mel Bay Publications and a drum/music facilitator.
This might sound strange but felt chosen to had struggled with my health for good reasons (kidney transplant/brain injury-cancer). If I was not chosen I would not be doing the type of work that I do (health environments - brain injury/rehab center/children with special needs/Group Homes) and to facilitate at festivals/community events.
